About Belle
Written by Emma, the owner of Belle:
Belle is energetic, has a sense of humor and needs a lot of love. I can easily go almost anywhere with it. When Belle notices a person leaving, she stares at the leash at the door and starts wagging her tail. Belle charms people with her behavior and her Pyrenean appearance.
At home, Belle is kind and calm, but mentally and physically follows a person's movements.
Belle is a quick learner, and in her hobbies she wants to please and give her all. It is very personable to food and tough to play with, which allows you to engage with both treats and toys.
In Agility, Belle is fast, independent and loud. I have had to learn to manage it adequately, taking into account its independence. Belle goes far well while being able to withstand close handling. However, with Belle you often have to settle for steering further away due to its speed. Belle has taught that agility is not a race between human and dog. If Belle doesn't know what or how to do something, she gets frustrated, but still holds up very well for high repetitions. Training with her is fun, educational and rewarding.

About UTU
Written by Päivi, the owner of Utu:
Utu is a happy and people-loving almost 6-year-old long-haired Pyrshep. Utu usually gets along well with other dogs as well. Utu's family includes two adults and two teenage children, as well as two male dogs.
Utu does agility, where he competes in the SL3 class now. The haze measurement result is 45-46cm. Utu has competed in the sport with excellent results, he is Finnish Agility Championship and the Finnish Jumping Championship. In addition, Utu has received gold medals in 2023 from the team District Championship and the team National Championship. Utu has also been to shows and is Finnish Champion. In hobbies, Utu is lively, a quick learner and a bit sensitive. The sensitivity is shown in such a way that it reads the owner's state of mind. However, this does not stay on in any way. Utu likes treats very much and nowadays also plays excellently with toys, but the toy reward has been taught to Utu separately.

THE COMBINATION
I wanted to combine Belle with a male that would be as little as possible related to Belle, because Belle is a reasonably strong-lined dog. In addition, I wanted a Finnish male, because Belle is an imported dog whose background or relatives I can't get reliable information about. It is therefore safest to use a dog whose family you can meet and you can see with your own eyes that they are nice dogs and of course healthy. In addition, I was already looking for a slightly older male, by which time all hereditary diseases or other challenges would probably have been revealed. Of course, Belle's C hips limited a lot of male options, as I definitely wanted to pair her with an A-hip male for my first litter. Unfortunately, I had to change my original male option at the last minute, but for the sake of the overall picture, I ended up making a compromise on the hips. However, the heritability of hips is also affected by other hip results in the family, and Utu's family mainly has very good hip results. In addition, the hip performance of Utu's offspring has been good.
Utu has a rare pedigree. It is based on several herding dogs and titre initial dogs. In terms of preserving the health, vitality and diversity of the breed, it is important to cherish these rarer pedigrees and Utu matches Belle's pedigree perfectly. The litter's inbreeding is estimated to be 0.027% in 8 generations, which is extremely low for any breed, but especially for Pyrsheps. In reality, however, the inbreeding is higher, because there are some missing pedigree information. Utu is already 6 years old and he and his siblings are healthy dogs. Utu also has offspring proof and has inherited Pyrs that I like, which are also overall healthy.
A more reserved male would have suited Belle's character as well, because she herself has been so brisk, brave and open. However, I don't think it's a bad thing at all that the male is also brisk, brave and open, because the reservedness which is typical for the breed could be found in the family of both dogs. I don't think it's bad for any breed to combine two brave and good-natured dogs together. I am also very convinced of the hobby qualities of both parents and I believe that the litter will produce great hobby dogs with good power. I have also met Utu's siblings, who have made an impression with their character. I consider the nature of the parents to be a big plus for the litter, because the balance, trainability and adaptability of both parents create excellent starting points for a pleasant life for the puppies and their owners. Of course, I assume the puppies to be active, so I'm not expecting boring days with them ;)
In all likelihood, the puppies will be long-haired, although I don't think they will become very furry. Utu has inherited half-long-haired puppies with a long-haired bitch.
